Miss Himachal Contestant Wins ‘Campus Princess’ Title

htwWith the most glamourous event ‘Miss Himachal’ being organised by Divya Himachal media group in the state, the platform has opened numerous paths for talented Himachali models. Girls, who want to shine in modeling and acting, have many chances for them within the state. Recently, ‘Miss Himachal 2015’ 2nd runner-up Ashita Munjley brought laurels to the state by participating in ‘Miss India Worldwide’ and here’s another ‘Miss Himachal 2015’ finalist, Sheetal Rana, who won the ‘Campus Princess’ title held at Lovely Professional University in Jalandhar. Sheetal Rana ‘Miss Himachal 2015’ finalist was crowned ‘Campus Princess’ by Miss Diva Universe Noyonita Lodh who also judged the audition. Notably, Campus Princess Winner will get direct entry in ‘Miss India 2016’.

htwMukesh Thapa, a renowned painter from Dharamshala has achieved another milestone as his painting has been selected for the ‘Most Popular Award’ in International Bold Brush Competition. The competition was organized by a US website where as many as 1272 entries were registered from across the world. And it was Mukesh Thapa’s painting which was selected for the ‘Most Popular Award’. Though, his painting got 97th position in the last 224 paintings. He got same award for 18 times before this. Not only this, informedcollector.com presented him best artist award. Mukesh Thapa is a resident of Dharamshala and has previously got his name entered in Limca Book of Records for making his own portrait with a single hair of his beard.

He used it as a brush and completed the portrait in one year. He won another prestigious award in USA with his paintings using a salt grain. Mukesh Thapa who took no formal training in painting, with a zeal to excel in this field and through hard practice has achieved this feat and is now all set to receive the ‘most popular painting’ award in USA. Thapa had a passion for painting and art since childhood. He worked for fifteen hours a day to sharpen his skills. The young artist, without receiving any proper training in the field of painting, has held exhibitions at Kangra Art Museum, Dharamshala, Shimla, McLeodganj and Pune.

Scintillating Performances in  ‘Himachal ki Awaz-4’

htwThe hunt for next ‘Himachal ki Awaz’ continues across the state with audition sessions for talented singers held at different places this week. Auditions were organised in six towns of state, including Palampur, Bilaspur, Hamirpur, Una, Baddi and Nahan. Participants faced a tough competition to prove their talent in front of judges. Students as well as professionals became testimony to this biggest singing talent hunt of Himachal. Renowned musicians of Himachal are judging the participants. Divya Himachal has taken the initiative to provide platform to all the budding and talented singers of Himachal. Competitions are divided in two categories senior and junior. Participants and judges appreciated Divya Himachal for this wonderful step. Notably, all the winners from different districts will next show their talent to become ‘Himachal ki Aawaz-4’ in its next challenges after the auditions.
