htw htwA spiring models participated enthusiastically in auditions of Miss Himachal 2017 held across the state. This year we saw a tremendous increase in number of participants in auditions held in Shimla, Solan, Una and Hamirpur this week. Young ladies of the state appeared confidently to show their talent on the ramp. It was wonderful to see that girls came forward to be a part of glamour world despite living in this small hilly state. Beautiful and gorgeous girls displayed their talent on the ramp while modelling and answering questions asked by the judges. The only and one of its kind Miss Himachal event brought out the extraordinary talent of Himachali girls. Every girl wanted to get selected for the next round as they all showed their keen interest in modelling world. ‘Miss Himachal’ auditions kicked off in different places across the state to give young, gorgeous girls and opportunity to enter the contest to be the next ‘Miss Himachal’. Auditions were held at nine places, including Palampur, Mandi, Paonta Sahib, Kangra, Dharamshala, Shimla, Solan, Una and Hamirpur. Divya Himachal’s ‘Miss Himachal’ is indeed a credible beauty pageant in the state through which Himachali girls not only get a chance to prove their mettle in the state but also at the national and international platforms. Miss Himachal is an event that has opened numerous doors for many Himachali girls in the glamorous world. Here girls also show the perfect blend of beauty with brain. Next stop for the contestants would be semifinal.

htwWith the scintillating and mesmerising cultural nights, Winter Carnival was a hit among tourists and locals. The series of entertainment began with the blasting performances by noted Himachali singers and dance troupes from across the country. Unity of women was seen during the carnival through different tableaus displaying the diverse and unique culture of Himachal. Women were seen knitting, dancing and with sheep in those tableaus. A large number of spectators, including tourists, enjoyed cultural presentations at Manu Rangshala, the open air auditorium. Different dance troupes from across the country became a part of the show. Different days, different performances and renowned local and national singers were main attractions of the winter carnival. A food festival was also organised during the event, where people had a taste of various Himachali and Indian cuisines. A beauty contest was also part of the event.
