E-Scooties Make Inroads in Himachal

Due to ever increasing prices of petrol and diesel, people have  has started to adopt eco-friendly e-scooties. Powered by a 250-watt motor, the e-scooty neither needs petrol to run or driving license and registration certificates to make it road worthy. These e-scooties have made inroads in Nadaun where the zipping e-scooties have become a matter of attraction. According to certificate issued by Hero Electrical Vehicle Private limited, the company involved in manufacturing of e-scooties, the transport authority has provided relief to rider in driving license and registration certification in case of e-scooty under the CMBR-GSR 589E September 16, 2005 law. According to information, this e-scooty can travel to a range of 60 to 65 kilometres on one full charge. The electricity cost of recharging the e-scooty one time turns to be about four to five rupees. People opines that these vehicles can not only prove eco friendly but pocket friendly too. Nadaun Police Station In-charge Satish Sharma said that rules will be followed and two-wheeler rider should wear helmet in any case.

Paul Fincap Launches ‘Kuber’ Prepaid Card

htwChandigarh: Paul Fincap, a group company of Paul Merchants Limited has launched prepaid card ‘Kuber’ in association with YES Bank and Mastercard, powered by MatchMove (India). It is available in physical form as well as virtual mobile wallet. It can be used for making online payments. On the launching ceremony of Kuber card, Rajneesh Bansal, Director, Paul Fincap, said, “It is a step towards digitisation. We will soon launch similar cards with Rupay.” The Kuber cardholder can load wallet/card by up to Rs 50,000 at any point of time and the maximum limit is Rs 3 lakh a month. The partnership with MatchMove provides a wider selection of merchants available on the Mastercard network. Users will also be entitled to a physical Mastercard for offline payments.

Electricity Duty Relief To Old Industries

htwThe government as per its announcement to provide electricity duty relief to industries has issued a notification in this regard. The old investors who have established industries by March 31, 2016 will get relief in electricity duty. According to orders the industries that have employed more than 300 Himachalis will have to pay one percent electricity duty for five years. The industries that have started commercial production by March 31, 2016 will also have to pay one percent electricity for next five years. This particular move has been taken to attract investment in the state. Notably, new industrial investment is not coming to state and the state government is trying to retain the already established industries in the state from migration by providing relief in certain sections. The investors will get relief in electricity duty for initial five years after which they will have to pay the electricity duty in already set rates. It is pertinent to mention here that industries will continue to enjoy electricity duty relief even if electricity regulatory authority increases rates.
