Entry in Himachal Becomes Dearer

NEWSThe entry of vehicles in Himachal will go dearer from April 1 as Excise and Taxation Department has issued a notification in this regard. The increase in entry fee will add about Rs. 10 crore annually to the state exchequer. According to notification, the toll tax entry fee for car has been increased from Rs. 30 to Rs. 40 now. People living in the vicinity of toll tax barrier too will have to shell out the same amount as toll tax fee. Toll tax fee for vehicles with 120 quintal capacity has been increased from Rs. 400 to Rs. 450. The toll tax fee of 90 to 120 quintal capacity trucks has become dearer by Rs. 30. It has been increased from Rs. 200 to Rs. 230 now. The lower fee rates of Rs. 100 and Rs. 75 fee have been hiked to Rs. 120 and Rs. 90 . Entry fee for tractor has also been increased from Rs. 40 earlier to Rs. 50. Passenger vehicles with seating capacity of more than 12 will have to pay Rs. 120 instead of Rs. 100. However entry fee for vehicles with seating capacity of up to 12 passengers has been increased from Rs. 60 to Rs. 70.

55 Toll Tax Barriers In Himachal

Notably, there are 55 toll tax barriers in Chamba, Nurpur, Una, Bilaspur, Baddi-Barotiwala-Nalagarh, Solan, Sirmour and Shimla. The state government had set a revenue target of Rs. 92 crore for 2016-17 from these toll tax barriers. With hike in entry fee, the revenue target will now be about Rs. 102 crore.

TVS Motors Launches BS IV Compliant Jupiter

NEWSChandigarh: TVS Motor has launched its BS-IV compliant TVS Jupiter and has added two new colours — Jade Green and Mystic Gold. The refreshed scooter is now BS IV compliant, with Auto Headlamp On (AHO) and equipped with Sync Braking System (SBS). Notably the feature that was previously available on ZX range will now be available on the Base variant as well. Since its launch in 2013, TVS Motor Company’s flagship scooter brand Jupiter has been strengthening the company’s foothold in the scooter market and contributing to overall scooter segment uptake, penetration, and growth in India. There are currently more than 1.5 million Jupiter customers on Indian roads. There is no revision in the prices for the BS-IV models of Jupiter, priced at Rs 49,666 (Ex-Showroom Delhi). The scooter is available across all TVS dealerships.

Amway India Launches Nutrilite Fruit Drink Mix
