Fussy Himachalis

This is regarding Himachal This Week’s cover story of February 18, 2017, “Fussy Himachalis”. It is true that people in this hill state have a knack to fixing their priorities in their lifestyle. Whether it is going to an eatery, purchasing clothes or a vehicle, Himachalis have their list of liking and disliking.  Younger generation is more specific in their choice as compared to the elders who are not so fussy. Today’s generation has more options available to them in every field and more money to spend while selecting anything according to their choice.

Good Omen

I happened to visit Punjab National Bank branch just before 10.00 a.m. I was astonished to see the entire staff singing a prayer before starting day’s work. I appreciate the person who initiated this move to start day’s work with a prayer. Working of banks and other offices is not easy. The bankers have to meet different people who at times also have to face rude behaviour from the staff. Atmosphere will remain friendly in an office that starts its work in such a wonderful manner. I hope that this tradition is also adopted by other offices.
