Medicines Of 17 Himachali Pharma Industries Found Substandard

NEWS Medicines manufactured in 17 drug industries of Himachal were found substandard in the Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (CDSCO) tests. These medicines were manufactured at drug industries in Paonta Sahib, Kala Amb, Baddi, Nalagarh and Sansarpur Terrace. Besides this, medicines manufactured at 43 industries all over the country too could not prove good on quality standards. In March, drug alert of CDSCO, 60 medicines for pain, gastric, fever, enzyme, malaria, asthama, infection, blood pressure, food supplement and antibiotics of renowned pharma companies were found substandard. After CDSCO alert, the state drugs controller came into action and served notice to pharma companies instructing them to remove entire batch of substandard drugs from the market. Besides this, drug inspectors are directed to send report after investigation of the concerned industries. It has been instructed to tighten the vigil on those industries whose products are found substandard repeatedly.

According to information, 60 types of medicines manufactured in different states failed to meet set standards in tests conducted by CDSCO. Medicines manufactured in 17 renowned drug industries of Himachal were also found substandard in these tests. Rest of medicines were manufactured at drug industries situated in Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Chennai, West Bengal and Noida. Samples of these medicines were taken from CDSCO sub-zone Baddi, Kolkata, Jammu, Ghaziabad, Chennai, Indore, Mumbai and drug department Assam and tested at drug testing labs in Mumbai, Guwahati, Kolkata and Chandigarh. These medicines failed to meet quality standards in the tests.

Drug manufacturing companies whose medicine samples were found substandard in Central Drugs Standard Control Organization tests has been issued notices and asked to remove the entire batch of these medicines from the market

General Manager Goyal Motors Anju Sharma disclosed the features of ‘swift victory’ car to the public present there on the occasion. She told that Goyal Motors has equipped ‘swift victory’ car with many new features. The car is equipped with premium leather seat covers, reverse parking sensor with camera, chrome handles and stylish wooden kit. Besides this, the new car features front arm rest, side mouldings, rain wisor, chrome mirror, window chrome kit and many other features.

Anju said that car can be made available for customers in all colours as per demand. The price of swift victory’ starts at Rs. 6.34 lakh for petrol segment. The car is available from April 16 at Goyal Motors showrooms in Solan, Sirmour and Shimla.
