‘Rs. 10 Cr. for improvement of Broni Nalah’

Shimla – Broni khad at Jhakri in Rampur Sub Division of Shimla district will be channelized and improved in such a way that regular landslides in the vicinity could be checked. Both sides of the khad would be compacted with concrete lining to ensure uninterrupted traffic on this route. It will be a big relief for farmers and orchardists of the area to carry their produce to other parts of the State. Rs. 10 crore will be spent on this work as per the estimates of Irrigation and Public Health Department. Chief Parliamentary Secretary Nand Lal presiding over a meeting of State level NJPC and Baspa Relief and Rehabilitation Committee meeting here at Shimla today said that landslides in the vicinity of Broni khad had been a major cause of concern for residents of nearby villages and a major demand of members of the Committee. Rs. two crores have been released for this work.
