‘Rs. 4496 crores exports Himachal’

Shimla – A two day workshop on “Developing Export Plan for Himachal Pradesh” was organized by Regional Centre for MSME Studies  at  Udyog Bhawan, Shimla. Dr. Gautam Dutta, Professor, Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) and Dr. Tamanna Chaturvedi, Consultant, MSME Centre, IIFT gave detailed presentations on developing Export Business Plan, identifying new products and markets for exports, export mapping of MSME units in Himachal Pradesh. Rajesh Sharma, Director of Industries directed all the General Managers to submit the export plan, detail of MSME units in the districts so that export potential of each district could be realized for economic upliftment of agro-industrial sectors in the State. He emphasized that the department will work proactively for exploring the export potential of the State. He further informed that the State has achieved export to the tune of 5849.46 crores in the year 2015-16 and 4495.98 croes in the year 2016-17 upto November, 2016.
