Divya Himachal Football League being organised in the state for the first time ever is a unique and one of its kind concept in Himachal. Especially in a country, where cricket is considered as the religion, promoting other sports had taken a back seat. This time Divya Himachal Media Group took an initiative to promote football in the state. Trials are being held in different parts of the state for the seven franchise teams of this league. Hundreds of upcoming football players turned up for trials organised to select players for Dharamshala Dazzlers team at Dharamshala. Himachal Football League will be held in May at Dharamshala. After selecting players for the teams, they will be undergo training sessions. Experts of the sport judged the participating soccer players on different technical aspects of the game. Seven teams will participate in Himachal Football League.
Himachal’s Biggest Chhinj From June 3
Prizes include a tractor, Alto car and Rs. 1 lakh in women category
Himachal’s biggest and North India’s most popular wrestling event (chhinj), ‘Shri Kialu Baba Maha Dangal’, at Gangath will see some changes to attract more wrestlers and spectators. The event will be organised from June 3 to June 5, 2017. Every year, many locals as well as tourists come to enjoy this greatest event of wrestling. This time, winner of the wrestling event will get a tractor, while the second prize in this row would be an Alto car. Winner in women category will be awarded Rs. 1 lakh cash prize. According to organising committee officials invitations have been sent to many national and international wrestlers besides local wrestlers to participate in the Maha Dangal to show their wrestling skills. During the three day long Maha Dangal, a total of 300 matches will be organised. Nearly 30, 000 spectators come and watch the thrilling event.
