HIMUDA To Establish New Colony At Dharampur

htwThere is a good news for people desirous of owning a home at Dharampur in Solan district as Himachal Pradesh Housing and Urban Development Authority (HIMUDA) will come up with a big housing colony here. About 216 residential plots will be made available for public. HIMUDA has prepared the blueprint of a colony to be developed at Dharampur. According to blueprint, 136 residences of different categories will be constructed here. Besides this, residential plots will also be available for sale in this colony for people who want to design their house according to their needs. HIMUDA will construct 62 new residences at Shimla too for people desirous of settling in Shimla. These residences will be made available at Flowerdale in Chotta Shimla and at Chhabroti in Kasumpati area of Shimla. HIMUDA already has big colonies here and basement in these colonies are still lying unused. HIMUDA has now begin the process to open these basements and construct residences there. It plans to construct 42 residences at Chhabroti and 20 residences at basements in Flowerdale. In this way, HIMUDA will provide a total of 62 residences in Shimla.

25% Plots Reserved

HIMUDA will reserve 25% residences and plots in its colonies for people that are already registered with it. It had carried out a demand survey in 2010-11 for residences and plots in different parts of the state. A fee of Rs. 5000 was taken from people interested in the project. A total of 72,848 persons had registered with HIMUDA under this project. It has provided residence and plot to only 160 people till now whereas money of about 8525 people was returned.

Two Colonies in Sirmaur

HIMUDA has established a colony at Moginand and Trilokpur in Sirmour district too. The urban development authority has developed 71 plots at Moginand and 110 plots in Trilokpur. It has constructed 160 residences in Trilokpur that are available for sale.

Reduced Diesel Prices Lower Goods Fare

Nalagarh truck union has decreased goods fare by 70 paise per kilometre after fall in diesel prices

htwThe Nalagarh Truck Operators Union has extended the relief of fall in diesel prices to industries located in the BBN area. It has decreased the goods fare by 70 paise per kilometre after reduction in diesel prices. New rates are applicable with immediate effect and the industrialists have welcomed truck union’s move.

Notably, oil companies have reduced diesel prices by Rs. 2.10 per litre, the effect of which became visible in goods fare too. Reduction in diesel prices have not only benefited transporters but the relief has been further extended to industrialists too by the truck union. It is pertinent to mention here that more than 10,000 trucks are registered with Nalagarh Truck Union that are major source of goods transportation for about 3000 industries established in the BBN area. At present, the industries established at Baddi-Barotiwala-Nalagarh are sending goods to maximum parts of the country. Businessmen are of the opinion that decrease in goods fare will bring down the prices of items of daily use also.

Decrease In Goods Fare

After decrease in goods fare by Nalagarh Truck Union, the fare of Bangalore has reduced from Rs. 69,120 to Rs. 67,335 while the fare to Delhi has come down from 12,770 to Rs. 12, 545. Similarly, goods fare to Mumbai has come down from Rs. 49,205 to 47,947 and goods fare to Coimbatore has come down from Rs. 83, 300 to Rs. 77, 235.
