Historical Pangna Village To Go On Big Screen

NEWSHimachal has countless exquisite and enchanting places to inspire tourists to head towards this hilly state. Many Bollywood directors came here and picturised lively and captivated places of the state on big Screen. It is a matter of pride for Himachal that its tourist destinations and other places got a place in Bollywood and other regional films. Though many directors covered its already popular places, some still look for the off-beat destinations. One of them is the beautiful village Pangna in Karsog. The beautiful village having historical relevance is in the eyes of a Bollywood director, who wants to bring out this place through her film.

Preeti Sood, who is planning to bring out the history of this historical village is writing a script and will soon come out with her film under the Aims and Ambitions Banner of Mumbai. According to her, the land of 52 erstwhile rulers is still having its charm. Its culture, 1252 years old buildings, grandeur of Devikot, simple and struggling life of the people and the traditions of this place are so attracting that anyone can be attracted to this place. Preeti Sood, with her team visited this historical village to have a look on the exquisite attractions. Earlier also, she made a film named ‘Mharo Gaon Mharo Des’. She told Himachal This Week that a famour actor of Himachal has been finalised for this film.

Folk Tales To Be Include

Various folk tales related to the place, would also be picturised in the film. The charm of its fort, folk tales, simple lifestyle of the people here will get place in this film. Pangna and Parli garden would be the places where the film will get shot.

Himachal This Week, ShimlaA painting exhibition of painters Baldev Panwar from Solan and Gurpreet Singh from Punjab being organised at the Roerich Art Gallery in Naggar, is indeed a treat for eyes for art lovers. This exhibition has been put up so that people can experience best of their art work. The exhibition was inaugurated by famous artist from Delhi Veena Harison. She appreciated the painters and their bright coloured paintings and termed their work as the finest example of modern art. Both of the them brought bright hues and cool tints of nature in water colors which is quite attractive. Baldev Panwar is an  artist that he has resigned from his government post to pursue his passion.

Old Himachali houses made in Kath Kunni style have been brought so lively in his paintings that everyone visited the gallery, enjoyed watching the old forms of houses in Kullu. Himachali villages and landscapes are brought out so beautifully in the paintings that people fell in love with them.

A total of 70 paintings made by these two painters are on display, in which mostly rural area of the country has been displayed. The exquisite paintings of Himachali buildings gave tourists and locals an opportunity to appreciate their work. A tourist from Spain told that she came through a beautiful Himachal through this exhibition. This exhibition brought out colours so lively that she spent a lot of time while appreciating painters and their paintings. This painting exhibition gave a fantastic leisure time to the locals as well as visitors.
