htwKullu, known for its unique culture and several deities, narrates its tale with a series of fairs and festivals held throughout the year as people keep the age old traditions alive. Some represent the national religious days, some are in honour of the local deities, while others beautifully depict the rich cultural heritage of the valley. Shadnu Mela celebrated at Khokhan is one of these fairs and festivals celebrated in Kullu every year in the month of ‘shravan’.    This is the yearly extravaganza in Kullu which is heartily enjoyed by the locals and tourists, flocking the valley in large numbers. It is celebrated to worship Adi Brahma and deity Veernath. Various local deities come along to celebrate this fair. Priests took out a traditional ‘pooja’ and after that deities gave blessings to the people. Local artists presented cultural programmes too displaying rich culture of Kullu.
