Lenovo K8 Note
Lenovo, the Chinese tech firm that also owns Motorola, expanded its smartphone portfolio by launching the K8 Note in India. The smartphone comes as a successor to the last year’s K6 Note and boasts several new and upgraded features. The smartphone is priced at Rs 12,999 for the 3GB RAM+32GB storage version and Rs 13,999 for the 4GB RAM+64GB storage version. It is available exclusively on Amazon India in two colour variants, Fine Gold and Venom Black. The smartphone runs Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box. The metal-clad handset sports a 5.5-inch full-HD resolution display with Corning Gorilla Glass coating and is powered by a deca-core MediaTek Helio X20 (MT6797) processor. The processor is complimented by 3GB/4GB RAM and Mali T880 GPU. The primary 13MP camera along with the 5MP secondary camera detects the depth of the image and creates a ‘bokeh’ portrait effect.
Gionee A1 Lite
Chinese smartphone maker Gionee has launched its mid-range smartphone A1 Lite in India. The Gionee A1 Lite comes with a price tag of Rs 14,999 and will be available at all leading online and offline stores in the country, starting August 10. As part of the launch offers, the company is giving two Paytm vouchers with the purchase of Gionee A1 Lite. The smartphone will come in Black and Gold colour options. The Gionee A1 Lite runs Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box with Amigo 4.0 UI layered on top. The smartphone sports all metal unibody and sports a 5.3-inch HD display. The display is made scratch resistant with a coating of Corning Gorilla glass. The smartphone is powered by a MediaTek MT6753 processor, paired with 3GB of RAM. The smartphone features a 13MP primary camera and a 20MP front-facing snapper.
Sony Audio Systems
Japanese consumer electronics giant Sony has expanded its home entertainment audio systems range in India with the launch of MHC-V11 and SHAKE-X30D at Rs 19,990 and Rs 50,990 respectively. Both speakers are enabled with new audio technology from Sony, LDAC that allows users to enjoy highest quality wireless audio via Bluetooth. With up to 3x the data transmitted, LDAC provides an enhanced wireless listening experience for all music needs. Both speakers offer Karaoke and DJ effects. They even have a built-in vocal fader function that turns down the voice on CDs and two mic input support for group singing. The Shake-X30D offers four different DJ effects — Flanger creates a deep roaring effect; WAH distorts the audio; Isolator singles out a specific frequency band; and PAN sweeps the sound across speakers. One can also use DJ effects with the Fiestable app and gesture control. The speakers are compatible with Sony Music Center App (previously called SongPal) and allow you to control the music systems through smartphone or tablet. The app can also be used to customise sound settings to ensure balanced audio. Other connectivity options include Bluetooth and NFC.
