Alamgir Khan’s Pahari Song Is Coming Soon

Alam Gir KhanAlamgir Khan, a renowned singer in Bollywood would soon be seen in a pahari music video album. He will give his voice to the song based on Himachali culture. He was recently on a visit to this hilly state and shared his thoughts with Himachal This Week. While asking about his upcoming pahari song, he told that he was fascinated towards the pahari culture but never got an opportunity to sing any pahari song. He said that this came as a fantastic opportunity for him to sing Himachali song. “Himachali culture is unique in itself and I want to spread the divinity of the culture to the entire world,” he said with enthusiasm. Alamgir Khan is well known for his songs like famous cricket anthem ‘mauka mauka’, ‘desi beat hip hop mix’, ‘khiladi title track’, ‘tere bin nahin lage jiya’, ‘suraj asat Punjabi mast’, mera yaar fantastic and many more. Apart from it, he performed live in India and abroad for almost 200 times. Sajid-Wajid, Meet Brothers, Pritam, Himesh Reshamia, Sohail Sen, Mithoon and Saleem-Suleman are some of the directors with whom he worked until now. He was seemingly hopeful for his upcoming pahari song to be popular among Himachali people.

‘Chidiya Ke Bahane’ Makes Audience Spellbound

htwThe Active Monal Cultural Association, a popular group of Himachal in the field of theatre, is always active in creating and successfully staging their plays and dramas filled with entertainment and moral values. Recently, the association staged ‘Chidiya ke Bahane’ at Badah Primary School. The play was staged in the local theatre style, which was appreciated by all. The play ‘Chidiya ke Bahane’ created in the local theatre style has created wonderful atmosphere and audience appreciated the actors for their astounding performance. The famous writer Keher Singh Thakur had written the story of the play. Arti Thakur as ‘chidiya’ and Jeevanand as the king fabulously played their roles and spellbound the audience. The association is very popular in Kullu. So a huge crowd came to enjoy the creativity of the association in their play. The story of the play was very well presented in a comic style. The play depicts the storyline that tells how people have turned selfish and corrupted these days. The story revolves around a sparrow, which came from some other country and which travelled through many places in India and revealed that how people are addicted to corruption in the country.

This week our dental expert is telling us about oral cancer, its symptoms and treatment

Cancer is the uncontrolled growth of body tissues. Oral cancer is the growth occurs in mouth. In India oral cancer is the most common form of cancer. Oral cancer includes cancer of tongue, floor of mouth, cheeks lining, gums, lips or roof of the mouth (palate).

Symptoms Of Oral Cancer

Early symptoms are persistent red or white patches, progressive swelling, unusual surface changes, sudden tooth mobility without specific cause and sometimes there may be change in the way teeth or denture fit together. Other symptoms may be chronic sore throat, change in voice, ear pain and dramatic weight loss. If anyone notice any of these changes, they should contact dentist immediately.

Who Gets Oral Cancer

Men face twice the risk of developing oral cancer than women and men over age 50 face double the risk. Risk factors for development of oral cancer are smoking cigarette, bidi, cigar or pipe and chewing gutkha, khaini and pan masala.

Other things which cause oral cancer are:

  1. Excessive consumption of alcohol
  2. Family history of cancer
  3. Human papillomavirus infection (HPV), certain stains of HPV are risk factors for oral cancer.

Diagnose

  1. In routine oral check up dentist will examine the presence of any type of symptom (as mentioned above) in oral cavity.
  2. If dentist see any unusual change or lesion he/she may take small tissue

of your mouth for biopsy.

Oral Cancer Prevention

* Do not smoke or use any tobacco products in any form. Avoid excessive alcohol intake.

* Eat balance diet

* Limit your exposure to sun. Excessive sun exposure increase risk of cancer of lip (especially lower lip).

* Conduct a self exam of your oral cavity at least once a month

* Visit your dentist once in every six months

How Can Oral Cancer Be Managed

Surgical removal of the cancer involved structure if growth is limited. Sometimes radiation therapy with or without chemotherapy is often used in conjunction with surgery.
