File objections in electoral rolls in a week

Shimla – A spokesperson of state Election department said here today that in view of ensuing HP Vidhan Sabha Elections-2017, the updation and special summary revision of electoral rolls  was done from 1st July to 28th July, 2017. During the revision process, 1,25,556 new voters were added to the list and 47,523 already registered voters were deleted from the list due to death or change of address. He said that objections, regarding deletion of names from the voter list, if any, could be filed before booth level officer or SDM (Assistant Returning Officer) of the concerned area within one week so that necessary action could be taken well in time. He further said list of deleted names has been made available to political parties, families of the deleted voters and deceased persons through concerned District Election Officers. In addition to this, the electoral rolls are available on the official website of the election department http://ceohimachal.nic.in.
