HP assembly polls on November 9

New Delhi – Election Commission of India (ECI) today announced that assembly elections in Himachal Pradesh will be held on November 9.  It said counting of votes would be held on December 18. The model code of conduct comes into effect immediately. Electronic voting machines (EVMs) with voter-verified paper audit trail (VVPAT) would be used for the polls.
