Can Virbhadra Deliver For Congress?

This is regarding Himachal This Week’s cover story of October 14, 2017, “Can Virbhadra Deliver For Congress?”. As both the main political parties have been ruling the state turn by turn during past two decades now, Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh has set Mission 45 Plus to write a new political history in this hilly state. Will he be able to achieve Congress party’s Mission Repeat or not? Only Himachal assembly election results will reveal on December 18 when the counting of votes will be held.  However there is no denying the fact that Virbhadra Singh a mass leader who holds considerable clout in all parts of Himachal.

Revolt In Parties

It is not possible that there is no revolt in political when when tickets to contest assembly elections are allocated. Leaders who have been serving the party for many years should get tickets. They will get disappointed when such leaders don’t get party tickets. This again has happened for upcoming assembly elections in Himachal as parachute leaders have been given tickets in certain areas by ignoring the claims of deserving candidates. There is bound to be resentment among followers of leaders who are ignored. The political parties should frame certain guidelines for allocating tickets.
