Volkswagen Luxury Car Passat Launched

Volkswagen India, the Indian subsidiary of Europe’s leading car manufacturer, has launched the latest generation of its luxury car ‘Passat’ at Volkswagen Mandi, the only authorised dealer of Volkswagen in entire Himachal Pradesh. Anil Kakkar, Director, Volkswagen Mandi launched this popular luxury car in Mandi. During the inauguration ceremony, he revealed the features of the car to the public gathered on the occasion. Sales Manager of showroom Vivek Saini said that Volkswagen Passat competes directly with Audi Q-4, Skoda Superb and Mercedes car. The Passat is powered by the 2.0-litre TDI diesel engine developing 177 PS power and 350 NM of torque. This engine comes mated to a 6-speed DSG transmission and gives a mileage of 17.42 kilometre per litre. The car also gets several features like park-assist for hands-free parking, LED headlamps and tail lamps with DRLs and hill start assist.    As far as safety is concerned, the new Passat gets nine airbags inside the cabin, ESP, ABS, ASR and tyre pressure monitoring system. The Volkswagen Passat is touted as the most futuristic offering from Volkswagen in India till date. It has a starting price of Rs 29.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The fully loaded variant costs Rs 32.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
