Sony Xperia R1, R1 Plus

Sony has launched two new mid-segment smartphones in India, Xperia R1 and R1 Plus. While the Xperia R1 comes with a price tag of Rs 12,990, the Xperia R1 Plus is priced at Rs 14,990. Both handsets will be available in Black and Silver colour options starting November 10 on all Sony Center and major mobile stores across India, along with e-commerce portals, Amazon and Flipkart. Both the Xperia R1 and Xperia R1 Plus share almost identical specs and differ only in terms of storage. While the former comes with 16GB internal storage coupled with 2GB RAM, the latter offers 32GB internal storage and 3GB RAM. Rest of the specs remain the same. Both handsets come with a 5.2-inch HD Display with a 2.5D curved glass protection. For camera, the devices have a 13MP auto focus rear camera and an 8MP front facing shooter. It is powered by a QualcommSnapdragon 430 and offer GPS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, USB Type-C.

Celkon Smart 4G

After partnering with Karbonn, leading Indian telecom operator Airtel has entered into partnership with domestic smartphone maker Celkon to offer another 4G smartphone for the Indian market. Dubbed as the Celkon Smart 4G, this smartphone comes at an effective price of Rs 1,349 and is available at all leading mobile stores. To purchase this handset, customers need to make a down payment of Rs 2,849 and make 36 continuous monthly recharges of Rs 169. The customer will get a cash refund of Rs 500 after 18 months and another Rs 1,000 after 36 months, taking the total cash benefit to Rs 1500, said the company in a statement. In terms of specs, the dual sim device comes with 4-inch touch screen and runs Android v6.0 Marshmallow. Powered by a 1.3Ghz quad core processor coupled with 1GB RAM, this device is offers 8GB internal storage and 32GB microSD card support. It is backed by a 1,500mAh battery and supports 4G VOLTE/3G/2G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS for connectivity. The handset also comes pre-loaded with apps such as My Airtel App, Airtel TV, Wynk Music. It comes with 24 Indian language support as well.

Itel S21

Chinese smartphone maker Itel has expanded its product portfolio with the launch of yet another budget smartphone. The company has launched its Itel S21smartphone with 4G VoLTE support. The itel S21 comes with a price tag of Rs 5,999 and is available in Moonlight Silver, Champagne Gold and Elegant Black colour options. The Itel S21 comes with a 5 inch FWVGA display. The smartphone is powered by a 1.1GHz quad-core MediaTek processor and runs Android 7.1 Nougat operating system. The dual SIM smartphone offers 1GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage which can be expanded up to 32GB by adding a microSD card. The smartphone sports a dual selfie camera with one 5MP and other 2MO modules. There’s also an 8MP rear camera with dual tone LED flash. The smartphone is backed by a 2700mAh battery and offers 4G, VoLTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS as connectivity options.
