Himachali Girl Wins Skiing Medal for India

Shimla – Himachal’s Aanchal Thakur has won a bronze medal at the Alpine Ejder 3200 Cup in Turkey, which was organised by the International Ski Federation (FIS). This is India’s first medal in skiing in international competition. Prime Minister Narendra Modi was among the first to congratulate her. Meanwhile Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur announced that state government would provide cash prize of Rs. 5 lakh to her for winning a bronze medal in world Skiing competition.
