Fast Tag Chips To Remove Hassle At Toll Tax Barriers

Install fast tag chips on your vehicles and set free from hassle of waiting in long queues at toll tax barriers. The process to install fast tag chips has begun and soon the magic of this chip will be witnessed everywhere in India, including Himachal Pradesh. The cameras installed at national highway toll tax barriers will scan the chip installed on windscreens of the vehicles. And the requisite fees will automatically be deducted from the account of consumer. The Union Government has envisaged the plan of installing fast tag chips on vehicles to counter the jam problems at toll tax barriers and to give impetus to cashless transactions.  Implementation of this scheme has been made mandatory at national highway toll tax barriers in Himachal Pradesh too. According to information, vehicle owners who will pay toll tax at barriers through fast tag chips will be entitled for 7.5% discount. And a charge of Rs. 10 will be deducted online during return journey from their account if they return within 24 hours. The Electronics and Information Technology Ministry, Government of India has signed an agreement with the State Bank of India for this scheme.

The Process

According to scheme, consumers will be provided a sticker after completing certain paper work formalities. This sticker will feature a chip and needs to be installed on front windscreen of the vehicle. The sensors installed at toll tax barriers will automatically receive the fee through online mode when vehicle will reach at barrier. The fee will be deducted from consumers account. This will free consumers from hassle of standing in a long queue as such vehicles will cross the barrier without stopping in a separate line.

Obtain Fast Tag

ChipAssistant General Manager, State Bank of India, Solan, Vipan Gupta said that the fast tag scheme has been implemented in entire country. The owners will have to submit vehicle’s registration and aadhar card copy and a fee of Rs. 400. Thereafter owners can recharge their chip as per their wish.

Gaggal Airport Incurs Losses

Like every year, this year too Gaggal Airport has incurred losses to the tune of Rs. 11.2 crore. Director Airport Gaggal Sonam Norwu told that the expenditure of Gaggal Airport from March 2017 until now stands at Rs. 13.05 crore while the earnings are mere Rs. 1.85 crore. He told that airport authority has to foot the salary, electricity and telephone bills of officials and employees deputed here. Notably, the airport administration also bears the salary expenditure of 26 cops and 18 home guards deployed there. This bill becomes huge when the strength of security forces will increase from 26 to 56 at Gaggal Airport.
