Sunil Sharma, Divya Himachal’s strongest pillar and voice of common people silenced on March 19, 2018. Divya Himachal’s State Bureau Chief, 48 years old Sunil Sharma could not survive sudden cardiac arrest leaving wife and 14 years old daughter behind him.

Born on October 13, 1969, Sunil Sharma had done M.Sc in Environmental Science and carved a different identity during his 19 years of journalism career. The news of Sunil Sharma’s demise sent a shock wave in the entire journalistic fraternity in the state.

Local journalists, Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur and others paid condolences to the grieved family at their residence in Shimla. Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur said that demise of Sunil Sharma has caused a heavy damage to the journalism that could not be filled easily. He said that Sunil was a hard working and honest journalist who always stood with the truth.
