Sony WS623 Walkman

 Sony WalkmanJapanese consumer electronics giant Sony has launched its WS623 Walkman music player in India. Priced at Rs 8,990, the device will be available across all Sony Centers from June 15.The WS623 Walkman comes with Bluetooth and NFC support, and is designed for sports enthusiasts. It has IP65/68 rating for dust and water resistance. The device is salt-waterproof as well. Sony WS623 comes with standard earbuds and also waterproof earbuds that are covered with a thin film to prevent water damage. Weighing 32g, it is 10% smaller than the WS410 series and 35% smaller than the WS610 Series. It can endure extreme temperatures from -5°C to 45°C, making it ideal for hikes or climbs. The device has an Ambient Sound Mode that utilizes in-built microphones to pick up external voices and sounds in the surrounding environment – allowing the player to communicate with the workout buddy or trainer without skipping a beat. It can store up to 4GB of audio files and promises up to 60 minutes of playback time with just 3 minutes of charging. Regular battery backup is claimed to be around 12 hours.

Nokia 6, Nokia 5, Nokia 3

NokiaHMD Global has finally launched the much-awaited new Nokia smartphones in India. The series includes three smartphones-Nokia 6, Nokia 5 and Nokia 3 – priced at Rs 14,999, Rs 12,899 and Rs 9,499 respectively. The Nokia 5 will be exclusively available with offline retailers, while the Nokia 6 will be available only with Amazon India. The Nokia 3 can also be purchased from physical retail stores. The Nokia 3 is going on sales from June 16, while the Nokia 5 will be available starting July 7. Nokia 6 will be up for pre-orders from July 14.On the specifications front, the trio offer pure Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS experience and come with Google Assistant built-in. The Nokia 6 by HMD Global supports dual-SIM cards and has a 5.5-inch full-HD resolution IPS LCD display with 2.5D curved glass coating and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The smartphone is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor along with 4GB RAM. On the storage front, the Nokia 6 comes with an inbuilt 64GB storage. The Nokia 5 has a 5.2-inch IPS LCD display. The display is coated with 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass. It has 2GB RAM and 16GB inbuilt storage, which can be expanded via microSD card (up to 128GB). The handset has a 13MP rear camera with PDAF and f/2 aperture along with an 8MP front-facing camera with 84-degree wide angle lens and f/2.0 aperture. The least powerful of the lot, Nokia 3, features the same built as the Nokia 5, but has a smaller 5-inch IPS display. The handset sports an 8MP autofocus front and back camera sensors with f/2.0 aperture.

Asus Chromebook Flip C213 Convertible Laptop

Asus 2Taiwanese smartphone maker Asus has expanded its product portfolio with the launch of its Chromebook FlipC213. However, the company has not yet revealed the price and availability of the device. The convertible Chromebook from Asus comes with 360-degree hinge, which enables the users to use the device as both a laptop and tablet. The company claims that the device has passed military-grade durability tests and is quite rugged when it comes to its build quality. The Chromebook runs Google’s Chrome OS and comes pre-loaded with various Google apps, which include G Suite, Google Classroom and the Google Cloud Platform. The device comes with a spill-proof keyboard, which has 2.0mm key-travel for more accurate typing. It can resist accidental spills of up to 66cc of liquid. The device comes with an 11.6-inch touchscreen, the company has introduced two variants based on the display size. One variant comes with a coating of Corning Gorilla Glass on top, whereas the other offers support for stylus, which uses the Wacom EMR technology and comes with anti-glare finish. The device also features a 5MP rear camera and an HD front camera for video calling. The device packs a 46Wh battery that promises to deliver 12 hours of battery backup.
