CM urges 100% tax exemption to industries for five years
Shimla – Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur has urged the Centre government to provide cent per cent tax exemption to industries in the state for first five years and fifty percent for next five years besides making a provision of interest subvention of seven percent for a period of seven years to promote industrial development

Cold wave persists in Himachal
Shimla – Intense cold wave conditions persisted in most parts of Himachal Pradesh. The minimum and maximum temperatures rose marginally. Dry spell is continuing for the past six weeks in the state. The Meteorological office has forecast thundershowers or snow at isolated places in lower, mid and higher hills from January 23 onwards.
Devastating fire renders 11 families homeless
Rampur- Eleven families were rendered homeless as a devastating fire erupted today in Gahan area of Nankhari block of Rampur. Property worth lakhs of rupees was also gutted in the fire incident in which a temple was also damaged.
