India’s second fastest growing car manufacturing company Nissan Group of India inaugurated its new dealership at Matour Chowk in Kangra district. This is Nissan’s third dealership in the state after Mandi and Solan. This latest dealership is another step forward for the company, which continues its steady sales and service network expansion pan-India. The newly inaugurated dealership, MR Nissan, located at Ghurkari on the outskirts of this town would cater to sales and after-sales requirements of Nissan customers residing in the state and bordering areas of Punjab. MR Nissan’s workshop also provides a convenient option for any after-sales requirements of Nissan and Datsun customers from neighbouring states like Delhi, Haryana and Punjab travelling to various hill stations in the state. Speaking at the inauguration, Arun Malhotra, Managing Director, Nissan Motor India Private Limited, said Nissan’s dealership network continued to steadily grow in line with our plans. “Himachal is an important market for Nissan and Datsun and we have seen a tremendous response for Datsun cars like redi-GO and GO+ from customers in hill areas of the country. We are delighted to open our third dealership today in Himachal,” he said. Snowfall A Blessing For Power Projects

Snowfall is considered to be a blessing for power projects in Himachal Pradesh. As the state had not received the desired snowfall in previous years, the deficit has been covered with the recent fresh and heavy snowfall. According to experts, the electricity production will definitely increase considerably this year. And the units that are not running to full capacity too will meet their production targets. In total, this winter season is considered to be good for electricity production by experts. Notably, many new electricity projects are to begin including Sainj hydro power project in government sector. Besides this, Kashang project, which is grappling with the shortage of water, too will able to meet its set production targets. Due to snowfall, there will be not be shortage of water in rivers and khads thus adding to the increase in electricity production.
