Una beat Hamirpur in men’s basketball final by a huge margin of 87-68, whereas in women’s section, Kangra beat Hamirpur by 49-34. In men’s volleyball event, Shimla thrashed Mandi by 3-0 and thus remained the winner. Kangra clinched first position in women’s category by defeating Hamirpur by 3-1. Huge crowd gathered to witness final match between Solan and Shimla in men’s section. Solan dominated Shimla by 40-18, whereas, in women’s category, Kangra remained winner by defeating Mandi by 33-23.
In judo event, Una, Shimla and Hamirpur remained the top three winners, respectively. In wrestling, Mandi managed to be overall winner in men’s section, while Una and Bilaspur followed for second and third position, respectively. In women’s section, Solan, Hamirpur and Mandi remained top three winners, respectively. In kho-kho, men’s category, Mandi clinched the top spot, followed by Hamirpur and Solan for second and third position. In women’s category, Mandi, Sirmaur and Solan remained the top three winners.
Shimla Tops Medal Tally
Shimla topped the medal tally in state Olympics with 18 gold, 9 silver and 10 bronze medals. On the second spot, Una stood with 11 gold, four silver and 10 bronze medals. Kangra followed them at the third position by clinching 10 gold, four silver and 10 bronze medals. Hamirpur remained on the fourth position by securing 7 gold, 22 silver and 21 bronze medals. Then came Solan at 5th position with five gold, six silver and eight bronze medals.

Players Show Prowess
Meanwhile, another block level under-19 tournament concluded at Government Senior Secondary School, Khalet near Nagri in Palampur. Chachiyan School overpowered others in this tournament for the record sixth time. In kho-kho and kabaddi, the school secured first position. As many as 217 players from 18 schools have participated in this tournament. The district level sports tournament which is to be held in Dehra, five students from the school would participate in it.
