Himachal has progressed in different sectors after it came into existence as a full state in 1971. Successive governments led by chief ministers of both the main political parties in Himachal contributed immensely in the growth of this hilly state that celebrated its 48th Statehood Day on January 25. However aspirations of people continue to soar as they look forward to government for various reasons.

There are many indications that new Chief Minister of the state, known to be a gentle soul, will like to carry the burden of babudum and hiscolleagues in assembly in goody-goody manner. Solution To RUSA Hurdle For Sports
Representation in sports and youth activities has decreased drastically at inter-college level after the implementation of Rashtriya Ucchtar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA) system in Himachal. Earlier exams were conducted twice in a year. But now besides semester exams, internal exams are also conducted taking total tally of exams to four in a year. Diminishing Strength In Government Schools Is Not A Good Sign

In the recent Himachal polls, public brought BJP back to the power with a clear mandate. The new government will have the opportunity to bring new policies on the ground. In the last two decades, Himachal has performed well in the education sector. The state scaled new heights and was rewarded for the cause at different platforms. But, declining strength in government schools is a matter of grave concern. It is a sensitive issue and indication has directly come from the new Education Minister Suresh Bhardwaj as he has expressed concern over the issue.
