18 Samsung Galaxy S8Rumours are rife that there will be two new Galaxy S series smartphones launching this year. Here is the kicker: Both will have the curved display (unlike last year’s editions, where one did and one did not) but in different screen sizes. One of them will be 5.7-inches QHD. Underneath the hood, the larger Samsung Galaxy S8 will have 6 GB RAM and the smaller one will have 4 GB. Both will sport 32 and 64 GB storage options with the choice to expand it further using a microSD card.

Asus Zenfone 3  Zoom

Asus Zenfone 3 ZoomLast year was the year of smartphones with better lens optics and dual rear cameras. Asus recently launched a smartphone called Zenphone 3 Zoom with dual 12 MP rear cameras. The phone has 4 GB of RAM, 5,000 mAh battery and 2 GHz octacore CPU. Like most Asus smartphones, the Zenfone 3 Zoom will also sport a 5.5-inch touchscreen with full HD graphical support.

Microsoft Surface Phone

Microsoft Surface PhoneReports have been getting stronger with each passing month that Microsoft will launch its spanking new Surface phone in mid-2017. This will be Microsoft’s flagship smartphone to run Windows OS, and will have a kickstand like the Surface Pro. The Microsoft Surface Phone will have 5.5-inch quad HD AMOLED display with 4GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. A 21MP camera with dual tone LED flash might be seen on the rear with an 8MP auto-focus front camera. This smartphone may also sport a USB Type-C charging port.

But with last year’s model featuring only iterative upgrades, many Apple fans are already looking ahead to the iPhone 8. 2017 marks the tenth anniversary of the iPhone, which was first announced by Steve Jobs on 9 January 2007, and released later that year on June 29. Given the momentous occasion, rumour has it that Apple has been holding back some of its most groundbreaking features for this year’s model – which many expect to be called the iPhone 8.
