‘Rant’ More On Twitter With Stormcrow App

htwDo you often find yourself frustrated by Twitter’s 140-character limit for individual tweets? You’ll be happy to know that there is an app out there that can help you write as much you want on the micro blogging social network. Made by an iOS developer named Jared Sinclair, the app, called Stormcrow, was launched last month and is available at a price of $2.99. Stormcrow lets you tweet without having to worry about the 140-character limit. It automatically breaks up long tweets into formatted, numbered and threaded sub-tweets that are posted on Twitter in the correct order. A report suggests that Stormcrow gets its name from ‘Tweetstorm’. It’s a term used to describe Twitter rants. In fact, a report suggests that the name of the app gets ‘storm’ from the word tweetstorm. It’s also worth mentioning that in popular fantasy-drama TV series Game of Thrones, Stormcrow is used to refer to mercenaries. Similarly, in the cult film Lord of the Rings, King Theoden calls Gandalf as Stormcrow.
