Political Dilemma

Himachal Congress state party affairs in charge Sushil Kumar Shinde has failed to underline party’s electoral strategy in the midst of differences and fissures. Unfortunately, Shinde has been mired between shows of strength. He has proved to be an unstable and weak in charge due to his failure to strike balance and cordial atmosphere in state Congress. When will Congress make a beginning f it wants to attack the Bharatiya Janata Party? The in charge has not been able to issue any statement beyond striking a truce in a fight between Virbhadra versus Sukhu even as BJP’s internal weaknesses are posing problem for the opposition. When would Congress government highlight its achievements and ask the Centre why it blocked state’s economic rights? Why Congress is silent even as fight between two members of parliament over AIIMS is weakening the BJP? What Shinde wants to achieve if he is unable to question Modi government its failure to lay foundation stones for Smart City, railway lines and Central University? The BJP’s bone of contention Kangra district will become Congress’s bastion if party in charge accepts practical politics. Kangra district returned maximum seats to the Congress but is a weak link for the BJP as it faces uphill task to identify candidates here. There is common consensus on Congress candidates provided the party learns lessons from indiscipline amd history in Shahpur assembly segment. The Congress can also strategically gain in Kullu, Bilaspur, Hamirpur and Mandi districts due to dissent in the BJP even as Shinde is trying to prove himself.  The Congress has to come out openly if the issue is to bring new leadership by sidelining Virbhadra. But the party will have to ride on the achievements of present government while maintaining balance between Sukhu and Virbhadra. Perhaps Shinde has forgotten to send a message of solidarity as Congress has to face the BJP.  The opposition also faces quandary while projecting youths in the backdrop of stature of party’s towering leaders. The BJP can’t fulfill its aspirations by undermining the importance of prem Kumar Dhumal, Shanta Kumar and JP Nadda whereas Congress has to keep Virbhadra and government’s achievements in the forefront if it is aiming Mission Repeat.  The Congress needs to highlight its development rather than making Virbhadra versus Sukhu and issue to force the BJP to underline its model and promises.  Bali and Sushir sharing stage for laying foundation stone of bus stand in Dharamshala will definitely increase BJP’s problems.
