Emergence Of New Festivals
This is regarding Himachal This Week’s cover story of September 2, 2017, “Emergence Of New Festivals”. Traditional fairs anf festivals are integral part in Himachal’s culture and lifestyle. Known as devbhoomi, every area of even village has its own deity and people hold annual fairs and festivals to worship them, However, during past two decades some new festivals have emerged in this hilly state even as they are celebrated with much fervour and in other parts of the country. These include famous Maharashtra festival Ganesha festival and immensly popular Chhat Puja celebrated in Purvanchal areas of the country. It is good to see that locals too have started these festivals along with others who have made Himachal as their place of work. It will definitely enhance strengthen cultural diversity and harmony.

Crime In Educational Institutes
Children attain useful knowledge in schools. Parents are never worried about security of their wards while sending them to schools. It is a matter of shame and concern when crime incidents start happening in temples of education. As girls feel insecure in the society but it is a matter of concern if boys too seek security. What was the fault of that seven years old boy? We hope that court hands over examplery punishments to the accused so as to deter others from committing any such crime in future.
