Sony A7r Iii Mirrorless Camera

Sony India launched a new full-frame a7R III interchangeable lens mirrorless camera in India at Rs 2,64,990. The new camera combines a high-resolution 42.4MP back-illuminated ‘Exmor R CMOS’ image sensor with impressive shooting speeds at up to 10 frames per second (fps) with full AF/AE tracking. The camera also has 4K video quality, wide dynamic range and high sensitivity features with noise reduction. The ‘Exmor R CMOS’ image sensor dramatically improves light collection efficiency, resulting in high sensitivity with low-noise performance and wide dynamic range. The camera can also shoot continuously at up to 8 fps in live view mode. The camera is available with a software suite called ‘Imaging Edge’ which helps the user from pre-processing to post-processing. The battery life of the new camera has been enhanced with the utilisation of Sony’s ‘Z’ series battery that have approximately 2.2 times the capacity of the ‘W’ series battery in the earlier model. The new camera is also equipped with Wi-Fi which allows for transfer of files to a smartphone, tablet, computer or a FTP server.

Timex BLINK Activity Tracker

Timex has expanded its product portfolio with the launch of its latest activity tracker. The company has launched Timex Blink fitness tracker in association with Indian consumer technology start-up Blink. The company has priced the leather strap model at Rs 4,459 and the bracelet style band at Rs 4,995. The company claims that the activity tracker is a blend of traditional watch and fitness trackers. The company also revealed that Timex and Blink have partnered to co-develop the SOS technology in watches and the Blink activity trackers uses Bluetooth to connect with your smartphone. The device is designed to track all-day activity of users’ steps, distance, calories and sleep. The main highlight of the activity tracker is that it can send instant mail, SMS with the GPS location of the user in case of any emergency. The device is compatible with both Android and iOS users. The Timex Blink activity tracker comes with a 0.9-inch of OLED touchscreen display and Stainless Steel 304 L Case and comes with 6 axis motion sensors, SOS trigger and Nordic nRF52832 CPU. The device is backed by a 90mAh battery which claims to offer 10 days of battery backup on single charge.
