Final Battle: Virbhadra Versus Dhumal

This is regarding Himachal This Week’s cover story of November 4, 2017, “Final battle: Virbhadra Versus Dhumal”. The Congress had declared Virbhadra’s name as its chief ministerial candidate whereas the BJP forwarded the name of Prem Kumar Dhumal’s name for the post during last phase of camapigning for Himachal asselbly elections 2017. It will be an interesting battle between two stalwarts of main political parties in this hilly state. There is no denying the fact that both, Virbhadra and Dhumal, have strong base among voters of Himachal Pradesh. Himachalis are eagerly waiting for results to be declared on December 18.

Smartphone Addiction

Excess of everything is bad. Some people have started misuing smartphones though it is very important technological innovation. People are doing no good by handing over smartphones to their small children. It adversly effects brain and eyes and children are not wasting their time but also damaging their health by playing games on smartphones. Blue whale game on smartphone has claimed lives of many children but people are not ready to learn any lesson. Scientific innovations should be used in a way that they prove to be a boon and not bane for us.
