Handball Girls Go For National Training

Girls from Himachal will play for the Indian handball team in the South Asian Senior Women Handball Championship. Six girls have been selected from the region to attend the National Training Camp in Lucknow that will held from March 12 to 30 of this month. Handball Federation of India will final women team for the South Asian Handball Championship in the camp. This is indeed a big opportunity for the girls to get their positions fixed.  Among the selected girls, Deeksha Thakur and Nidhi Sharma have participated in international events, before this. Shailja, Priyanka, Deepa, and Shalini are the other girls selected for the camp. General secretary, Himachal Pradesh Handball Association, Nand Kishore expressed his delight before media during press briefing. This is the first time when six girls are selected from the state for the national training camp. I believe that all six girls will secure their positions in the national team and come home with medal for the nation, said the General secretary.
