Race For A Ticket

We can judge Himachali character as employee leaders are registering their presence before their political bosses on the eve of assembly elections. Indirect politics always stimulates government employees and officers at every level in the system. Who will think about the private sector when a section of government employees is always toeing political line?  Permutations of government employees are again to the fore ahead of assembly elections in Himachal.  Dozens of employees and officers are wandering in political circles with resignations in their pocket and a hope to get a ticket from a political stage. There is no guarantee as to how would such employees and officers perform if given a chance as they remained busy in garnering support to enhance their political career. Himachal has a different political culture that is spreading fast through government machinery. Political aspirants use employees’ politics for personal gains with ultimate goal to get a ticket for fighting elections. A different political cadre in government work culture has developed in this hilly state. One can see many doctors, engineers besides police and administrative officers making a beeline to get a ticket. Caste permutations, regional identities and communities also raise canards rather than focusing on real issues with an eye to get favours for a ticket.  There is no tag attached to the ticket aspirants but they hail from a special family, caste and region. Every party faces internal wranglings in the process of ticket allocation rather than finding a base to victory. Leaders are restless in the wake of surveys being conducted by the BJP. The Congress must introspect in the backdrop BJP’s exercise to change logic to select candidates in an aware state like Himachal.
