Himachal Beats Delhi In Vijay Hazare Cricket Trophy

In a tough fight between Himachal and Delhi at the Nadaun cricket stadium, the former stole applauds of spectators. With the cracking innings of captain Prashant Chopra, Himachal defeated Delhi in the match by 2 runs. The captain outscored every other cricketer in the match. He played a blistering knock of 150 runs with 22 fours and two sixes in 149 balls.

Himachal batted first and fixed 304 runs on the board for rivals in the 50 overs match. Delhi batsman Rishabh Pant scored a ton in response but the team lost match eventually.  Rishi Dhawan took three wickets that halted the rivals reaching the target. Delhi lost all ten wickets and could score 302 runs in 49.4 overs.

This victory raised hopes of Himachal to reach quarterfinals. However, Delhi is still on the top in the group with 16 points. Vijay Hazare Trophy 2018 will culminate on  February 26 as the day  is fixed for the final match between the two top teams.
