Three Himachali Cricketers in IPL Season 11

The IPL Season 11 auction has brought three cricketers of Himachal in the limelight. Wicketkeeper-batsman from Solan, Prashant Chopra, was bought by Rajasthan Royals at a price of Rs. 20 lakh. Himachal’s Ranji player Vipul Sharma earned place for Hyderabad at same price. Another young cricketer Mayank Dagar was picked up by Kings XI Punjab at par price.

All three have been performing exceptionally well in the domestic cricket tournaments. Cricketers will have the opportunity to prove themselves on a big platform. The IPL has given some big names to the Indian cricket team since its inception in 2008.

This season, these young boys have been selected to exhibit their talent to the world cricket. Family and natives of these cricketers are delighted with the news. People of the state are eagerly waiting to see these cricketers performing well in the IPL beginning in April.

No Buyer For Rishi Dhawan

It is unfortunate for Himachal that international cricketers Rishi Dhawan could not retain his spot in the league. Cricketer who has represented India in international matches did not get any buyer. He is playing for Himachal Ranji team at present. Star cricketer promised to come back next year with greater spirit.
