Congress Stages walkout over transfers

Shimla – Second day of the Budget Session of Himachal Assembly witnessed noisy scenes on the second consecutive day as the opposition Congress staged a walkout on the issue of transfers of government employees. As soon as the Question Hour finished, the opposition demanded a discussion on the issue through an adjournment motion under rule 67. Speaker Rajeev Bindal clarified that the matter cannot be raised under rule 67. They could take up the issue under some other procedural rules like a calling attention motion.
