Himachal To Frame Film Policy

The state government will frame a film policy soon to promote film industry in this hilly state. Under the policy, picturesque locations and unexplored tourism places would be developed to attract Bollywood film industry towards Himachal. Views from those Himachalis associated with the film industry, including film directors working in Bollywood, will also be taken while formulating the policy.

Stating this Himachal Forest Minister Govind Singh Thakur said the policy would be framed to attract film industry here that would also brand Himachal globally. Notably, Bollywood producers and directors have been coming to Himachal for shooting of their films in various parts. But what acts as a deterrent is poor air connectivity and lack of five star hotels at most of the destinations.
