In the past few years the road for digital cameras has been rocky. The onslaught from camera smartphones has made the going tough for camera makers. However, there are still cameras that hold on to their own. And the list includes not just DSLRs but also point-n-shoots from companies like Canon, Nikon, Sony others. Here’s over to the best cameras of 2016 across price range. 

Canon EOS 5D Mark IV (Rs 2,54,995)

The dust-and-waterproof camera features a 30.4MP full-frame high-sensitivity sensor along with Canon’s Digic 6+ image processor. With an ISO range of 100-32000, the EOS 5D Mark IV can capture continuous shots at 7 frames per second (fps).

Nikon D5600 (Rs 53,450 Onwards)

Launched recently, the digital single lens reflex camera has a 24.2MP Nikon DX-format CMOS sensor, ISO range of 100 – 25600, time-lapse movie functionality and more. The D5600 connects with smartphones and other mobile devices using the SnapBridge app and Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) technology.

Sony A99 II (Rs 2,49,990)

sony_a99IISony A99 II is the Japanese consumer technology giant’s latest interchangeable lens camera. The high-end A99 II has a 42.2MP Sony Exmor sensor along with 79 hybrid cross autofocus points and 5-axis stabilisation. It’s ISO range goes up to 102400 (expanded range) and the fps reaches to 12 frames per second.

Canon EOS 1300D (Rs 29,995)

canon_eos_5d_markThe next on the list is Canon’s entry-level EOS 1300D, which comes as a successor to the EOS 1200D. The camera is priced at Rs 29,995, while its double zoom variant costs Rs 38,995. The DSLR has 18MP CMOS sensor and ISO expandable up to 12,800. The camera also incorporates inbuilt Wi-Fi and NFC support. There is a Camera Connect app which allows the users to shoot remotely.

Sony Cyber-shot RX 100 V (Rs 79,990)

sony_cyberSony Cyber-shot RX 100 V, launched last month, is among the company’s most advanced cameras sporting a point-n-shoot design. It has a 20.1MP Exmor RS sensor, a Zeiss Vario-Sonnar large aperture lens, slow-motion recording at 960fps, OLED tru-finder and a whopping 315 autofocus points. There’s also a tiltable LCD screen.
