Notification for RS seat on March 5

Shimla – Chief Electoral Officer of Election Department Pushpendra Rajput said here today that Election Commission of India has announced biennial election 2018 for Rajya Sabha. One seat in Rajya Sabha has fallen vacant in H.P. following completion of term of Rajya Sabha MP Jagat Prakash Nadda on April 2, 2018. The vacancy will be notified on March 5 by Election Commission of India. Notification for Rajya Sabha will be made on March 5, 2018, the last date for filing of nomination March 12, scrutiny of nomination papers on March 13 and March 15 is the date for withdrawal of nominations. Polling will be held on March 23 March and counting on the same day. All processes of election will be completed by March 26, 2018.
