‘Special summary revision of EPIC complete’

Shimla – Special summary revision of Photo Electoral Rolls of all Assembly Constituencies in the State with 1.1.2018 as qualifying date has been completed and photo electoral rolls 2018 finally published on 26.3.2018. Chief Electoral Officer Pushpendra Rajput said that in draft publication on 23.1.2018, 49,88,783 elector were registered in the photo electoral rolls. As many as 48,361 new electors have been registered during revision. 22817 electors in the age group 18-19 and 25544 electors in the 19 plus age group were registered during this period. In addition to this, names of 21715 electors were deleted following dual registration, migration and death. Thus, 26646 electors have been added to the electoral rolls which were 0.53 percent increase. At present 50,15,429 total electors are registered in the photo elector rolls with 25,44,040 males and 24,71,389 females. Sulah Assembly Constituency has 95315 electors as the highest and Lahaul-Spiti with 23028 electors as the lowest. The electoral rolls have been published finally and available for inspection free of cost in respective District Election Office, ADM, SDM, Tehsildar, Naib Tehsildar Offices besides each polling booth.
