Old Currency Notes Recovered at Chamunda Temple

Nagrota Bagwan: The time to accept old currency notes of Rs. 500 and Rs. 1000 in banks has passed long back. But people still are disposing off their old notes. But not at bank branches, instead in temples. 15 old notes of Rs. 500 and one Rs. 1000 old note were recovered when donation box at Chamunda temple was opened. The donation boxes were opened when counting of donation offered in the temple was undergoing under the supervision of temple officer Brijesh Chauhan and temple trustee Subhash Kumar.
