Sundernagar – At least 18 tourists are stranded for the past four days due to heavy snowfall in Rohanda panchayat of the area. The road connecting Rohanda with Shimla was closed due to heavy snowfall, said Pradhan Prakash Chand.

Shimla – Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh today held a meeting with senior officials of different departments to review the situation in the areas affected by heavy snowfall. Chief Minister released Rs. 25 crore for immediate restoration electricity, drinking water supply besides clearing roads for traffic by Tuesday.  

Dharamshala – Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education has released the schedule for conducting Plus Two and Matric exams. Plus Two exams will begin from March 3 and Matric exams from March 4 in the morning session, said a release by the board.

Solan – property worth lakhs of rupees was gutted in two fire incidents that have been reported in Solan district. The first incident occurred in office of a private finance company in Solan whereas other incident was reported from Kunihar where fire erupted in a hotel.

Rampur – The police have registered a case one Rajkumar of Nepalese origin for allegedly raping a 14 year girl, also of Nepalese origin, in Devthi panchayat of the area. The police are searching for the accused that is still at large, said Rampur DSP Somdutt.
